DearCycle
DearCycle Terms of Use · J.R.SOSA & CO. LLC

A thoughtful journal, with clear boundaries.

Terms for DearCycle’s personal period tracking, education and optional Plus subscription.

DearCycle is a personal journal for adults. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Using DearCycle

DearCycle is provided by J.R.SOSA & CO. LLC for adults aged 18 or older. By using the app, you agree to these terms and the applicable store license. Use DearCycle for your own lawful personal journaling. Do not attempt to bypass store purchase validation, interfere with the service, or copy protected app materials without permission.

Our Privacy Policy explains the local journal and separate purchase, advertising and technical crash-reporting data.

Estimates and education

Future period dates are estimates based on your recorded history or chosen cycle preferences. Missing entries, changing cycles and individual variation can affect them. Optional fertile-day and ovulation highlights are off by default and intended only for natural cycles. Their calendar calculation assumes ovulation 14 days before the next estimated period and displays the five preceding days through one day afterward. The extra display day is not a validated confidence interval. The app hides highlights without a usable date anchor, with period estimates off, after an overdue estimate, or when recorded cycle lengths do not meet its display rules.

These highlights do not measure or confirm ovulation, fertility, pregnancy, a diagnosis or safe days. Pregnancy can occur outside highlighted dates. Do not use them as contraception or to judge the effectiveness of protection. Turn them off while using hormonal contraception, during pregnancy, after a recent birth or while breastfeeding. DearCycle does not infer pregnancy, postpartum or breastfeeding status. Your explicit pregnancy, postpartum or menopause choice pauses period forecasts, fertile highlights and upcoming-period reminders; perimenopause suppresses fertile highlights. Optional pregnancy and postpartum date arithmetic does not confirm a condition or automatically change your selected stage. A current hormonal method or Other explicitly selected in Settings pauses these highlights; daily contraception records do not alter the calculation or rate protection. DearCycle is not a fertility-awareness contraception method. Sexual-activity logs do not produce pregnancy or infection risk assessments.

Insights describe the records you entered. Unlogged days are unknown. Contraception, condom, IUD, food and hydration articles provide general information and source links; optional method actions and meal notes are observations, not medication instructions or a nutritional assessment. Articles do not evaluate your symptoms or replace professional care. Do not delay needed care because of an app estimate, article or missing alert. For a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Your records and device

You decide what to record and export. Keep access to your device secure, and enable optional app lock if useful to you. There is no DearCycle cloud journal account or automatic journal recovery. Device loss, removal of the app, or loss of its encryption key can make records inaccessible.

Exports are not encrypted by DearCycle. Raw CSV/JSON include daily sexual-activity, contraception, meal, water and wellbeing records, including entered intimacy sessions. JSON includes the saved profile; CSV identifies included current profile context and allergies explicitly. PDF reports omit dedicated life-stage dates, wellbeing, intimacy, contraception, meal and water fields and exclude general notes by default. You are responsible for selecting a destination and protecting any copy you save or share. We cannot retrieve or erase copies held by a recipient or other app. Local notifications are optional and their delivery depends on device permissions, timing and operating-system behavior.

Routines and Home-screen widgets

Personal routines are optional, off by default and free. You choose the recurring time and weekdays for water, rest, movement, a method routine, appointment planning or reflection. They do not calculate medication doses, contraceptive protection or clinical timing. Appointment prompts do not confirm an appointment. Permission, Android settings and battery management affect delivery; no exact delivery is promised. Opening the app refreshes a 14-day routine window, and background restoration does not extend it.

The period-calendar widget is free; life-stage and moon widgets require verified Plus. Calendar summaries are discreet by default. Enabling personal summaries permits the launcher to display minimal calendar or stage context outside the app. App lock keeps them discreet. The app holds only a dated, 24-hour in-memory snapshot and never opens the journal in a background widget update. Process loss or expiry causes the next update to fall back to discreet content, but the launcher may retain its last rendered view until refreshed. You decide whether that Home-screen disclosure is appropriate. Approximate lunar displays are for reflection, without health or fertility interpretation.

DearCycle Plus

DearCycle Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription. A verified active entitlement removes all banner and native ads in DearCycle. The app and store checkout show the available features, subscription period, localized price and applicable terms before you purchase. Plans renew automatically unless cancelled under the store’s rules. A promotional trial applies only when explicitly shown by the store.

Google Play charges and manages the purchase. Restore purchases in DearCycle can restore an eligible entitlement for the relevant store account; it does not restore journal records or an encryption key. Cancelling renewal normally leaves access until the store-confirmed end of the paid period. Expiry does not erase your local journal or block the free journal features.

Manage or cancel through Google Play subscriptions. Removing DearCycle, deleting the journal, or emailing support does not itself cancel renewal. Refunds are handled under the applicable store policy and your legal rights.

App content and changes

The app’s design, educational presentation, artwork and software are owned by the publisher or used with permission. Your own journal entries remain yours. External websites and store services operate under their own terms.

We may improve the app or update these terms. Material changes will be identified through the updated page or an appropriate app notice. We do not promise that every device, estimate, reminder or external service will always function without interruption.

Your rights and support

Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or protections that cannot lawfully be limited. Contact contact@juniorplatforms.com for app or purchase support. We provide technical support, not medical care.
